On January 9th, Mr. Devsiri P. Hewavidana paid a surprise visit to Thumbe College Kamburupitiya . He was warmly welcomed with great respect by the Hon. Principal, Mrs. Tekla Nadee, along with the teaching staff and the students.
The schoolchildren delighted everyone present with beautiful Sindhi songs and dances, creating a joyful and uplifting atmosphere.
Thereafter, to the pleasant surprise of all, Mr. Devsiri donated a much-needed printer to Thumbe College, amidst enthusiastic applause from the students. While accepting the printer, valued at Rs. 46,000, the Hon. Principal stated that she, along with the entire school, was deeply grateful to Mr. Devsiri for donating this essential piece of equipment, which the school had been in need of for many years.
She further explained that previously the school had to travel nearly three kilometers to Kamburupitiya town to print or photo copy examination papers and other important documents, which involved considerable expense. She assured everyone that the printer would be used with great care.
At the conclusion of the event, Mr. Devsiri treated the students and the teaching staff to delicious ice cream.
තුඹේ විද්යාලයට රු 46000 ක් වටිනා ප්රින්ටර් යන්ත්රයක්
2026 ජනවාරි 9දා දෙව්සිරි පී. හේවාවිදාන මැතිතුමා තුඹේ විද්යාලය නැරඹීමට හදිසියේ පැමිණියේය. ගරු විදුහල්පතිනී ටෙක්ලා නදී මහත්මිය ආචාර්ය මණ්ඩලය හා දරුවෝ එතුමා ඉමහත් හර සරින් පිළිගන්නා ලදී .
පාසල් දරුවෝ අලංකාර සින්දී සින්දු හා නර්තනවලින් පැමිණ සිටි සියලු දෙනාම ප්රබෝධයට පත් කළහ.
ඉන් අනතුරුව කවුරුත් පුදුම යට පත් කරමින් දෙව්සිරි මහතා තුඹේ විද්යාලයට අවශ්යවම තිබූ ප්රින්ටර් යන්ත්රයක් පරිත්යාග කරේ ළමයින්ගේ අත්පොළසන් මධ්යයේය. රු 46000 ක් වටිනා එම යන්ත්රය පිළිගනිමින් කතා කළ ගරු විදුහල්පතිනිය කියා සිටියේ පාසලට අවුරුදු ගණනාවක් තිස්සේ අත්යාවශ්යව තිබුණු මෙම උපකරණය පරිත්යාග කිරීම ගැන තමා ඇතුළු මුළු විදුහලම දෙව්සිරි මහතාට බෙහෙවින් කෘතඥා වන බවය.
මින් පෙර පාසලට අවශ්ය ප්රශ්න පත්ර හා අනෙකු අවශ්ය ලිපි ෆොටෝ කොපි හෝ මුද්රණය කර ගැනීම සඳහා කිලෝමීටර් තුනක් ගෙවා කඹුරු පිටිය නගරයටම යා යුතුව තිබුණු බවත් ඒ සඳහා අධික මුදලක් ගෙවීමට සිදුවූ බවත් විස්තර කළ විදුහල්පතිනිය මෙම ප්රින්ටර් යන්ත්රය ඉතාමත් පරිස්සමෙන් පාවිච්චි කරන බවට පොරොන්දු වූයේය.
රැස්වීම අවසානයේ දෙවිසිරි මහතා විසින් දරුවන් හා ආචාර්යමණ්ඩලයට ඉතා ප්රණීත අයිස් ක්රීම් වලින් සංග්රහ කරන ලදී
