The philanthropist couple Arthur and Emily from England arrived in Kamburupitiya on January 2 together with their two children, May and Luke, to meet Dinuli of Mapalana, Thirush of Mapalana, and Achinthya of Ullala, who had won the love and affection of their family.
At Dinuli’s home, the visiting family enjoyed a very delicious lunch, after which they presented her with many gifts. Later, Arthur and Emily attended a tea party at the home of Thirush Nethsara of Mapalana school, where they joyfully conversed with Thirush’s parents and distributed many gifts to Thirush and his sisters. In addition, they awarded a valuable scholarship from the UK Friends of Galle Foundation to Thirush’s elder sister, Malisha Dedunu, who is studying at Grade 10 at Mapalana Vidyalaya, to support the her education.
Finally, Arthur and Emily visited the home of Achinthya Sewwandi, a very bright student at Ullala Vidyalaya and one of our 323 scholarship recipients. Engaging in friendly conversation with Achinthya’s grandmother and her younger siblings, the couple amazed everyone at the end by presenting Achinthya with a precious laptop computer worth three hundred thousand Sri Lankan rupees, brought from England, along with a range of supporting accessories—leaving her overwhelmed with surprise and joy.

එංගලන්තයේ දානපති ආතර් හා එමලි යුවල තම දරුවන් දෙදෙනා May හා Luke සමග ජනවාරි 2 දා කඹුරුපිටියට පැමිණියේ එම පවුලේ ආදරය දිනා ගත් මාපලානේ දිනුලි නන්ගි, ටිරුශ මල්ලි හා උල්ලල අචින්ත්යා නංගී හමුවීමටය
දිනූලි දුවගේ ගෙදරදී ඉතා ප්රණීත දිවා භෝජන සංග්රහයක් රසවිඳි ආගන්තුක පවුල ඇයට බෙහෙවින් තෑගිබෝග ලබා දුනි.ඉන් අනතුරුව මාපලානේ ටිරුෂ නෙත්සර පුතාගේ නිවසේ තේ පැන් සංග්රහයකට සහභාගි වූ ආතර් හා එමලි යුවළ ටිරුෂගේ දෙමාපියන් සමඟ සතුටු සාමීචියේ යෙදෙමින් ටිරුශ හා ඔහුගේ සොහොයුරියන්ට බොහෝ තෑගි බෙදාදුන්නේය. එපමණක් නොවෙ මාපලාන විදුලහලේ දහවෙනි ශ්රේණියේ ඉගෙනුම ලබන ටිරුෂගේ අක්කා මලීෂා දේදුනුගේ අධ්යාපන කටයුතු දියුණු කර ගැනීම සඳහා ගාලු මිතුරු පදනමේන් අගනා ශිෂ්යත්වයක්ද ඔවුන් විසින් ඇයට පිරිනමන ලදී.
ආතර් හා එමලි දානපති යුවළ හා දරුවන් අන්තිමටම ගියේ උල්ලල විද්යාලයේ දක්ෂ ශිෂ්යාවක් හා අපගේ 323 ශිෂ්යත්වලාභීනිය වූ අචින්ත්යා සෙව්වන්දි දියණියගේ නිවසටය. අචින්ත්යාගේ මිත්තනිය , නංගි හා මල්ලි සමග සුහද කතාබහක යෙදුණු මෙම යුවල අවසානයේදී . අචින්ත්යා දුවට එංගලන්තයෙන් ගෙන්වන ලද රුපියල් ලක්ෂ තුනක් වටින අගනා ලැප්ටොප් පරිගණකයක් හා සහාය උපකරණ රාශියක් පිරිනමින් ඇය බලවත් පුදුමයටත් සතුටටත් පත් කළාය
එම ප්රීතිමත් අවස්ථාවලදී ගන්නා ලද පින්තූරවලින් සමහරකි මේ
