On March 10, 2025, Mr. Devsiri Hewavidana visited Thumbe Vidyalaya, where he received a warm and heartfelt welcome from Principal Mrs. Tekla Nadee Kumari, Teacher Renuka Hewavidana, the dedicated teaching staff, and the vibrant students. The highlight of his visit was witnessing the beautiful cultural dances and singing performances by the children, which left him thoroughly delighted.
Mrs. Kumari expressed her sincere appreciation for the sound system worth approximately Rs. 80,000 that Mr. Hewavidana generously donated to the school last year. She emphasized how this valuable contribution has significantly enhanced the children’s confidence, enabling them to participate enthusiastically in various school functions without hesitation. The Principal also extended her gratitude for the school books and shoes Mr. Hewavidana had kindly provided to some students in the past, showcasing his commitment to supporting their educational journey.
In a heartwarming gesture, Mr. Hewavidana treated the children to ice cream, bringing immense joy to their faces. The visit was a memorable one, and the photographs taken that day capture the spirit of community and kindness that defined the event.
ගාලු මිතුරු පදනම තුඹේ විදුහලට යයි
2025 මාර්තු 10වෙනිදා දෙව්සිරි හේවාවිදාන මහතා තුඹේ විද්‍යාලයට පැමිණි අවස්ථාවේ ගරු විදුහල්පතිනිය ටෙක්ලා නදී කුමාරි මහත්මිය , රේනුකා හේවාවිදාන ගුරුතුමිය ඇතුළු ආචාර්ය මණ්ඩලය හා දරුවන් එතුමා ඉතා හරසරින් පිළිගත්හ. විදුහලේ දරුවන්ගේ නැටුම්, ගැයුම් බලමින් එතුමා ප්‍රීති විය.
දෙව්සිරි මහතා විසින් පසුගිය වසරේ විදුහලට පරිත්‍යාග කරන ලද රුපියල් 80,000 පමණ වටිනා බෆල් යන්ත්‍රය විදුහලේ සෑම උත්සවයකටම යොදා ගන්නා බවත් එනිසා දරුවන්ගේ සබ කෝලය නැතිවී ඔවුන් හැම දෙයකටම ඉදිරියට පැමිණෙන බවත් විස්තර කළ ගරු විදුහල්පතිනිය ඒ වටිනා තෑග්ග හා පසුගිය වසරේදී ළමුන්ට පොත්පත් හා සපත්තු ලබාදීම වෙනුවෙන් එතුමාට අනේක වාරයක් ස්තුති කරන බව ද ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.
දෙව්සිරි මහතා සමග පසුගිය වතාවේ පැමිණි නිශාන්ත මහතා තෑගි දුන් වොලිබෝලයෙන් දරුවන් දිනපතා සෙල්ලම් කරමින් ඒ මහතාට පින්දෙන බවද එතුමිය පැවසීය. තුඹේ දරුවන්ගේ නැටුම් ගැයුම් බලා ප්‍රීති වුණු දෙව්සිරි මහතා ඔවුන් සියලු දෙනාටම අයිස් ක්‍රීම් වලින් සංග්‍රහ කිරීමට අමතක කළේ නැත. මේ එදින පාසැලේදී ගන්නා ලද පින්තූරයි
