The Buffel set the UKFG had donated to Ullala school ten years ago had broken down about two years ago. When Mr Devsiri visited the school in July 23, many children explained to him that they no longer hear the 5 precept broadcast or other announcements broadcasted from the school office They pleaded with Mr Devsiri to donate them a new Buffel set
Upon their request, Mr Devsiri bought them a state of the art modern Buffel set at a cost of 10,0000 rupees. On 31st July 23, Mr Devsiri and Mr Ananda Hewavidana ceremoniously handed over the Buffel set to the school principal Mr Nissanka Abeywickrama amid the cheering of 300 school children.
On accepting the expensive gift, Mr Abeywickrama said that he had not got enough words to thank Mr Devsiri and UKFG for the most valuable gift they have received. He also expressed his gratitude to UKFG for the continuous help they had been receiving from the foundation since 2024.
The meeting was followed by a small cultural show where many children performed traditional dances and sang beautiful songs. There was also a general knowledge quiz for the children. A winning child received a valuable mobile phone as the first prize.
Mr Devsiri also donated a sum of 12,000 Rupees to school for the purpose of making a costume and Mace for the Hon Speaker of the School Parliament.
At the end of the event, all the children and teachers were delighted to treated with a a sumptuous lunch with ice cream
උල්ලල මහා විද්‍යාලයට ගාලු මිතුරු පදනම මගින් මීට වසර 10 කට පෙර පරිත්‍යාග කරන ලද බෆල් යන්ත්‍රය අබලන් වීම හේතුවෙන් පාසල් ළමයින්ට උදේ පන්සිල් දීමටත්, පොදුවේ පණිවිඩ දැනුම් දීමටත් නොහැකිවීම විශාල ගැටලුවක් වී තිබුනි.
දෙව්සිරි මහතාගේ 2023 ජුනි සංචාරයේදී උල්ලල පාසලට පැමිණි විට කිහිප අවස්ථාවකම ළමුන් විසින් කරන ලද බලවත් ඉල්ලීමට අනුව එතුමා රුපියල් 100,000 ක් වටිනා නවීනතම බෆල් යන්ත්‍රයක් පරිත්‍යාග කලේය.
බෆල් යන්ත්‍රය පරිත්‍යාග කිරීම සහ ගාලු මිතුරු පදනම පාසලට මෙතෙක් කර ඇති සේවය ඇගයීම සදහා උත්සවක් සංවිධාණය කර තිබූ අතර එය නැටුම් ගැයුම් වලින් අලංකාරවත් වී තිබුනි.
උත්සව සභාව ඇමතූ ගරු විදුහල්පති නිශ්ශංක අභේවික්‍රම මහතා තම පාසලට අඩුපාඩුවක්ව තිබූ බෆල් යන්ත්‍රය ලබා දීම පිළිබදවත් , අප විසින් මෙතෙක් පාසලට පරිත්‍යාග කර වටිනා දේවල් ගැනත් සිහිකරමින් ගාලු මිතුරු පදනමට ස්තූති පුද කලේය.
රැස්වීම අතරතුර සාමාන්‍ය දැනීම තරඟයක් පවත්වා පලමු ජයග්‍රාහකයාට වටිනා දුරකථනයක්ද, දෙවන සහ තෙවන ජයග්‍රහණයන් සඳහා වටිනා තෑගිද දෙව්සිරි මහතා විසින් ලබා දුන්නේය.
තවද උත්සවය අතරතුරේදී ශිෂ්‍ය පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ කථානායක තනතුරට අවශ්‍ය කරන ඇඳුම් ලබා ගැනීමටත්, සෙංකෝලයක් ගැනීමටත් දෙව්සිරි මහතා විසින් රු.120000 ක පරිත්‍යාගයක්ද සිදු කලේය.
මීට අමතරව දරුවන්ට මෙන්ම ගුරු මණ්ඩලයටද රසවත් දිවා ආහාර වේලක් සහ අයිස්ක්‍රීම් ද ලබා දීම නිසා සියලු දෙනා ඉතාමත් ප්‍රීතියට පත්වූහ
